1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Deposit Demand (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Not a Law Firm; No Legal Advice

Deposit Demand is not a law firm, is not a substitute for an attorney, and does not provide legal advice.We are a self-help document preparation tool that generates draft demand letters based on information you provide and general state-law references. Using the Service does not create an attorney-client relationship.

Laws change and vary by jurisdiction and individual circumstances. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for reviewing any generated document before using it, and for deciding whether and how to send, file, or act on it. If you need legal advice, consult a licensed attorney in your state.

3. No Guarantee of Outcome

We make no representations or warranties that use of the Service will result in the return of your deposit, payment of damages, a favorable outcome in court, or any specific result.

4. Your Responsibilities

  • You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract.
  • You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information.
  • You agree to review every generated document for accuracy before sending it to any third party.
  • You agree not to misuse the Service, including by submitting false information, harassing any person, or violating any law.

5. Accounts

You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

6. Payments and Refunds

Paid features are billed through our payment processor. One-time letter unlocks deliver immediate access to a digital product and are generally non-refundable once the letter is unlocked. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can manage or cancel a subscription from your dashboard at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, templates, and software, is owned by Deposit Demand and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the information you submit and the resulting documents, and you grant us a limited license to process that information solely to provide the Service to you.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Deposit Demand and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of deposits, profits, or data, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Deposit Demand from any claims, losses, or expenses arising out of your use of the Service, your submitted information, the documents you generate, or your violation of these Terms.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Deposit Demand is operated, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located in that jurisdiction unless otherwise required by law.
